Glanbia switch to Mobilise
Glanbia plc is a leading international dairy foods and nutritional ingredients group, headquartered in Ireland. The company turns over €2 Bn per annum, employs over 4,500 people and has over 5,300 milk suppliers. The Irish dairy operation has selected Eastern Data Group as the supplier of next generation mobile computer system for its field sales and delivery operation. In the first phase some 120 Mobilise Van systems will be deployed on Motorola MC70 handheld computers and O’Neil mobile printers. Wireless communication will be both wide area (GPRS) and personal area (Bluetooth). Several hundred more mobile systems will be automated in a second phase in 2008.
